"I appreciate how much Holy Rosary has meant to my personal growth! Holy Rosary Catholic School needs me and each and every one of my fellow parents and alumni to help provide for current operations. Each one of us is personally responsible for making sure that Holy Rosary is around and thriving when our grandchildren are ready to be part of the HRCS family.”

 - René Danos David, Class of 1985-Former Chair of Annual Fund

Annual Fund Campaign

  • The Annual Fund Campaign (AFC) is a yearly appeal for donations to support the current operations of our school. These gifts help enhance the day-to-day life of every student and faculty member.

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?

  • In order to make a Catholic education accessible to as many students as possible, we do not charge the full amount that it costs to educate a student. Only a portion of the school's operating expenses are covered by tuition revenue; therefore, we rely each year on unrestricted gifts from parents, relatives, friends and alumni to make up the difference. Monies collected support a variety of programs, including academics, religious education, technology, athletics, and maintenance of school facilities, to name a few.
  • Gifts for the 2023-2024 AF will not only help to keep tuition low for families, but it will help to improve the safety and security of our campus.
  • We plan to replace our dated intercom system, upgrade the original fire alarm pull stations, and install new and improved self-locking gate knobs, just to name a few.

WHY ARE ALL ANNUAL FUND GIFTS IMPORTANT?

  • Your gift, regardless of size, signifies your commitment and dedication to Holy Rosary and its mission. Also, a high participation percentage among parents and alumni helps us successfully solicit grants from foundations and other sources of revenue.

GIFTS CAN BE MADE IN SEVERAL WAYS:

  • Cash: Gifts of cash are the most common forms of support. Checks should be made payable to “Holy Rosary Catholic School” and sent directly to the Principal at 12925 East Main Street, Larose, LA 70373.
  • Quarterly Donations: Pledges may be spread throughout the year. Upon request, the school will send reply envelopes through the Hawk's Herald, HRCS’s quarterly newsletter.

#iGiveCatholic

WHAT IS iGIVECATHOLIC?

  • On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, individuals and organizations around the world will come together for one common purpose: To celebrate generosity, live generously and to give.

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?

  • The goal of #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday is to inspire the Catholic community to come together as faithful stewards and to "Give Back and Give Catholic" on GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to inspiring generosity.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO GIVE?

  • Plans for iGiveCatholic donations also include improving the safety and security of our campus. With iGiveCatholic funds, the cafeteria's double glass doors will be replaced with double metal doors, and the sliding glass doors will be removed and fitted with walls.

WHEN CAN DONATIONS BE MADE?

  • Secure, tax-deductible donations to participating non-profit, Catholic organizations can be made through #iGiveCatholic during our Advanced Giving phase beginning at 12:00 AM on November 13, continuing right into GivingTuesday, November 28, and ending at 11:59 PM.
  • Fee-free cash donations will be accepted at school between November 13-28.

Extravaganza

WHAT IS THE EXTRAVAGANZA?

  • In March 2023, Holy Rosary held its first Extravaganza. The event was catered by The Balcony, and it was a fun outing for any adult (21+). Simply Exquisite Events & Designs transformed the Crosby training facility in Galliano into an elegant black-&-white event. The photo booth and the band, Shorts in December, were huge hits. Between the live and silent auction, Holy Rosary raised over $50,000.
  • The grand total for the evening reached $87,000. The funds were used to fill in the gap that our low tuition leaves.
